When you look at the new Samsung 6 series lcd, you will notice there are several models with very small differences. One of the most confusing parts of the modeling hierarchy is when comparing the LN-B650 vs LN-B610 vs LN-B630 series units. To help you understand, below are the most significant of the minor changes between the three televisions:
Compare Samsung B650 VS B630 - Minor differences and some adjustment to features and technology help make the LN630 series a cheaper model:
- LN-B650 has 100,000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio versus 80,000:1 on LN-B630
- B650 series has Ultra Clear panel with glossy finish versus the B630 series matte finish
- LN-B630 lacks “Media 2.0″ functionality of the LNB650
Compare Samsung B630 VS B610 - Again cutting out some features, the LN610 series is a warehouse exclusive and offers further price reduction when compared to the LN630 models at the cost of some performance and functionality:

- B610 lacks infolink & USB2 Movie functionality

Pros: Amazing picture quality, great deep blacks, tons and tons of features and extras, easy to setup and tweak for use.
Cons: Shiny screen does pick up some ambient lighting reflection, definitely annoying. Also gives off a bit of heat and the remote is not the greatest, most responsive, or easiest to use.
Review: The Samsung LN52A650 (52 inch) and LN46A650 (46 inch) were both the 1st and 2nd most popular televisions selling on amazon.com when I bought mine, which spoke volumes to me about the A650 series seeing as how both models are the exact same television just different sizes. I decided to pick up the 52 inch because I realized how much cheaper and better they were then the rest of the options, so figured I would splurge a bit more and go for the bigger one with a nice sound system to boot with the money I thought I would have to spend but ended up not having to because I picked Samsung 6 series LCD. It has a razor sharp picture that really has to be seen to be appreciated.. sound, setup, calibration, ease of use, price and all the other areas one might look at in a television besides display quality are also all top notch as well, with the only complaint I might have is that the screen is shiny and seems to pick up light reflections more easily because of this then some other HDTV screens I have saw. 10 / 10 score for my Samsung LN52A650 review score, just adding one more to the list of hundreds you will find on places like amazon where I bought mine.
Having owned this TV and many other 720p and 1080p televisions over the last 3-4 years, and then getting the new LN52A650 Samsung LCD, I must say that I am impressed that I simply can’t seem to find a flaw on this piece of technological brilliance. I have played the newest video games, Blu-ray, hddvd and HD TV channels and am absolutely impressed with its flawless and impeccable performance.
Most of the other televisions I have owned have been superior for their time as I am really a junkie for performance and product research, and all of them had their own subtle flaws, but not the Samsung ln52A650 it seems.
There is lots of talk about the touch of red design of these televisions, and I think Samsung has done something awesome with this part of the design as it really does stand the Samsung look and design apart from all the other brands and models as the most attractive and eye catching thing in the television room. It’s actually less obvious then some would think so it’s not like the touch of distracts attention or anything, but it does make it look much better than the previous generation of sheer piano black décor.
